Janico Bio Company (JNBC surl) is a social enterprise, which works and focuses especially in green economy in Burundi. We are transforming agricultural waste into biochar for soil fertility and environment protection.
Officially created in November 2022, the idea had started in 2020 during the trip of NIRAGIRA JUSTE to China where he witnessed the advanced protection of the environment through circular economy.
After the trip, NIRAGIRA JUSTE (CEO) created JANICO BIO COMPANY (JNBC surl) which is producing biochar. The biochar that we produce is an alternative to organic and chemical fertilizer. We also create jobs when collecting this agricultural waste considered as raw materials.
Actually, we are working in partnership with individuals (young jobless people), local farmers and different cooperatives. Our target is to make sure that agricultural waste is collected for a sustainable supply of our raw materials.
